Autumn
Plenary Series
e-Procurement 2006-2010
- the shifting landscape
Looking ahead is always a
challenge when there is so much to do on a day-to-day basis, but
the e-Procurement landscape is slowly changing from implementing
the basic e-procurement tools towards the complex service areas
where most of the authorities' spend lies. Shared service e-procurement
has become a key plank in government's efficiency agenda and sustainability
is following hard on its heels.
In response to this, Imaginist
is running an Autumn series of half-day plenary sessions , to give
procurement and service unit managers an opportunity to exchange
ideas and consider how they need to be adapting their strategies
to meet the next set of challenges.
The series will draw on
some research that we are currently carrying out, bringing together
knowledge and expertise of a group of best-of-breed service providers
to paint a picture of the next five years. This will be presented
as a context for our debate. If we get a good response to the plenary
series, we hope to be able to publish the results of the debate
and present them at the NePP December Conference.
You are invited
to attend and contribute to one of these plenary sessions,
being held in London and Manchester over a 6 week period in October
and November to give you every chance to fit it into your crowded
diary.
The cost is £90 , to cover
our admin and venue costs and allow us to run this as an independent
programme, not influenced by commercial sponsorship.
We would particularly
like to see the profile of e-procurement being raised in the complex
services areas and have structured the pricing to enable you to
offer additional places to your colleagues in Construction and Social
Care at 50% discount, while places are available.

We look forward to having
your contribution to one of the sessions.
